Momordica Charantia is also called bitter melon, bitter apple, bitter gourd, bitter squash, and balsam pear. It’s belong to tropical and sub-tropical vine of family (CUCURBITACEAE) which is found in Asia, Africa and Caribbean for its edible fruits. It has many different varieties which is different in shape and bitterness of fruit. Momordica charantia has an anti-microbial, anti-oxidant and anti-flammatory properties. It has a bitter taste but very helpful to reduce a cholesterol level, high blood pressure and blood glucose level. Memordica charantia has a number of uses such as Cancer Prevention, Treatment Diabetes, Fever, HIV and AIDS infection.

It has medical importance it is used for the preparation of medicine for the treatment of variety of human ailments. Neem is used in Ayurvedic Medicine system for treatment of diabetes.
